MBCure Research Consortium Collaborators
MBCure and Cancer Culture Announce Strategic Collaboration to Accelerate Support and Innovation for Metastatic Breast Cancer
MBCure is a nonprofit on a mission to ignite change in the metastatic breast cancer (MBC) community by funding research, awareness, education, and access for all. MBCure has also recently established the MBCure Research Consortium, an innovative model to fuel curative-intent research for MBC. Cancer Culture is an MBC-focused nonprofit reshaping the public narrative around cancer through art, storytelling, and advocacy and strongly believes in the benefits of human connection and creative activism. By centering patient voices and fostering unique expression, Cancer Culture builds community and drives change.
This collaboration will enable synergies between these two MBC-focused organizations with a shared commitment to empower patients and accelerate progress in the fight against MBC. By leveraging Cancer Culture’s unique platform for storytelling, public engagement, and patient-centric programs alongside MBCure’s Research Consortium, the collaboration aims to amplify fundraising success, propel scientific breakthroughs, and create an influential model of impact and hope for the MBC community with a focus on improving the lives of those affected by this disease. These two groups place great emphasis on the power of women supporting women.
By working together, we will elevate the voices of MBC patients while directly contributing to groundbreaking discoveries. At the onset, this collaboration will entail two tangible actions: 1) the MBCure Research Consortium will be the sole beneficiary of Cancer Culture’s 2025 New York City Fashion Week Event and 2) there will be a special retreat component to the Annual MBCure Gala in 2026. Cancer Culture will be leading the retreat component that will take place for MBC patients during the days leading into the Annual MBCure Gala with the retreat culminating at the gala.
This joint effort is a pivotal step forward highlighting the strides we can make when working together and uplighting one another. The collaboration is only in its infancy and will continue to grow. Together, we can strengthen our platforms, focus investment in bold, curative-intent MBC research under strategic direction and guidance, and inspire a cancer culture that recognizes the power of collaboration, kindness, and resilience of those living with MBC.
