Igniting change in the Metastatic Breast Cancer (MBC) community through research, awareness, education, and access made possible by a Philadelphia-based family on a mission to find a CURE for MBC.
A dedicated Board, brought together by women from the Beck, Daniels, Millevoi, and O’Riordan families, is thrilled to announce the creation of MBCure: A family-driven initiative poised to revolutionize the MBC landscape. With a steadfast commitment to empowering change and making a tangible impact, MBCure pledges to direct 100% of net proceeds towards MBC efforts, with a primary focus on research.
This group of women previously hosted the Philadelphia METAvivor Gala benefiting METAvivor each February. Launching MBCure will allow us to broaden our impact and lead our family members legacies in a more powerful way. The MBCure Board still hosts the February gala, now deemed the Annual MBCure Gala.
MBCure’s Multifaceted Approach to Finding a Cure:
- Research for a Cure: We dedicate the majority of our annual net proceeds to funding curative-intent research for MBC. Learn more about the MBCure Research Consortium here.
- Awareness & Education: To rally public attention around the drastic disparities regarding the allocation of breast cancer research funds and regarding outcomes among different groups living with MBC. MBCure is also committed to educating people about their breast cancer risk and debunking fallacies that exist about breast cancer.
- Access: To allocate funds to directly support individuals who are living with MBC to enhance their lives and democratize access to high-quality resources.
By prioritizing these critical areas, MBCure aims to accelerate progress towards finding a CURE and harness the power of collective action to drive change and offer hope to those affected by this devastating disease.
We are excited to “welcome you to the family” as we embark on this transformative journey to create real, lasting change for generations to come.
